I am currently completing a four year degree in Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. In my final year I have undertaken my honours research project which aims to understand the drivers affecting the adoption of plant-based systems to manage dryland salinity. The reason for choosing this area of study is because dryland salinity is one of the biggest threats to the agricultural sector in Western Australia and there is an urgent need for further research and development into this issue. I also come from a farm in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia which has growing problems relating to the increasing soil salinisation. My interests include travelling, playing tennis and hockey and spending quality time with family and friends. (Oct. 2007)
