Sabine Smith, Associate Professor of German at Kennesaw State University, earned her M.A. in American Studies at Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, and her Ph.D. in German Studies w/ a Designated Emphasis in Feminist Theory and Research at University of California at Davis. Her research interests involve feminist inquiries into violence against women and the scholarship of teaching and learning as the exploration of best practices in facilitating foreign language and culture instruction. She is coordinator for the 2007 Study Abroad program "Retracing Anne Frank's Footsteps."
