Dr. Munoz-Luna received her PhD (2012) on English Applied Linguistics at Malaga University, where she studied English Philology (BA 2006) and English Linguistics (MA 2008). Her interest on language pedagogy facilitated further studies on English Education (BA 2010) and Psychopedagogy (BA 2012) at Salamanca Pontifical University. Dr. Munoz-Luna was given a National Teaching Fellowship which allowed her to research and teach at Malaga University. While completing her extensive formation on English Linguistics and Education, Dr. Munoz-Luna has published several research articles on language learning and teaching through the use of new technologies. Her action-research commitment makes her explore classroom possibilities with her students, using mixed methods to analyse academic genre awareness and use in university lessons. In 2009 she worked in Exeter University, where she studied a Master in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MEd 2010). Her latest work has been published in international journals, and she has won the 2012 Young Researchers Award at Malaga University. Nowadays, Dr. Munoz-Luna is teaching English Theoretical Linguistics at undergraduate level and English Applied Linguistics to Malaga University postgraduates. Dr. Munoz-Luna is currently collaborating with the Pontifical Bolivarian University (Colombia) and Exeter University (United Kingdom), where she cooperates with university experts of language teaching.
