Dr. Kerbs began his career at Cal Poly Pomona, as a Lecturer, in the Computer Science Department, in 2000. He joined the tenure-track faculty as an Assistant Professor in 2001. In 2007, he was promoted to Associate Professor and received tenure in 2008. He has served as Chair in the Computer Science Department since Fall 2011. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Tau Beta Pi honor society, and several other scientific societies. He has substantial industry experience with: Caltech, Texas Instruments, and Kronos Digital Entertainment. He frequently teaches graphics, gaming programming and networking. Dr. Kerbs received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, from California State University, Long Beach and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University. His research interests include computer graphics, networking, data mining, and human computer interaction.
