Dr Richard Gant is Head of Fine Art and Joint Chair of Drawing Research at Liverpool John Moores University. He is an active researcher in both art and management science. His work is field based in both industrial and natural contexts. As the BHP Fine Art Fellow his doctoral research centred upon the impact of Fine Art practice with an emergent Gas Terminal site in the UK. Current post doctoral research engages in the comparative practice and study of a generation of artists; father and son. He simultaneously engages in maintaining text publication in management science, furthering initial MSc and PhD findings, which is focused upon the theme of motivational psychology. He is currently engaged in promoting art into industrial contexts, using his derived motivational model that quantifies the positive effects of art to industry.
