Rajiv Thind is a Ph.D candidate at the University of Queensland researching Shakespeare’s representation of marginalized characters and worldviews. The project focuses on the exclusionary 'slime' that induces laughter in community-reinforcing ways. Rajiv holds Honours (first-class) and Master’s (with distinction) degrees in English literature from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. He is a recipient of Ph.D scholarship (Australian Postgraduate Award). He was also awarded UQ Graduate School’s research travel scholarship, which allowed him to travel to the United States in early 2016 to present a paper at Arizona’s ACMRS conference and conduct some research at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
