Rachna Johri earned her Master’s in Educational Studies: Teaching, Learning & Research from University of Sheffield. An architect by training, she currently takes charge of Diploma in Environment Design in Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore. Rachna’s research focuses on the link between visual thinking and criticality. More specifically, the study explores the relationship between critical thinking and visual thinking and traces the development of these attributes in the interior architecture studio. Prior to her current role as course manager of Environment Design, Rachna taught in the Interior Architecture diploma, where she was involved in teaching various studio based modules. During her tenure in the department, she was instrumental in designing problem based curriculum for specific subjects and also contributed to the development of studio based pedagogy.
