  I possess an interdisciplinary background, having obtained a Masters of Science in Genetics and a PhD (doctorate) in Comparative Literature. Subsequent to completing my doctoral studies, I embarked upon a postdoctoral fellowship in a molecular biology laboratory in a prominent medical school to conduct an unique ethnography in the context of literary theory and science studies. I arrived at some interesting conclusions on science and society and scientific practice. My first book dealt with the semiotics of scientific texts entitled Molecular Biology in Narrative Form. I have published extensively in journals and collections on science and society, including New Genetics, New Identities, Social Semiotics, Biosemiotics, and on literary criticism, (L'Esprit Createur) and science (Blood Cells, Molecules and Diseases).
