She received her Ph.D. from UC Irvine in 1995 and currently holds the position of Associate Editor for the bilingual theater journal Gestos: Teoría y Práctica del Teatro Hispánico. She has published articles on photography and theater and on contemporary Spanish playwrights, as well as literary intertextuality and its metaphorical significance in theater.
