He has lectured widely in the UK, Germany, Ethiopia, Malaysia and China and his built work has been published in Germany, Japan, Italy, Scandanavia and the UK. Work in the housing realm varies from individual houses to commercial developments exploring sustainable approaches to materials and energy consumption. His recent research has explored the meaning of detail in small buildings and aspects of the contemporary domestic room.
