Paul Rooney, PhD is a former principal/CEO of an independent Anglican school in Sydney,Australia currently lecturing in Pedagogies & Secondary Methods for the Master of Teaching:Secondary program as the methods coordinator. His research involves international sociocultural education, faith based education, international education policy, educational leadership, and professional teaching practice. Paul has recently presented papers on Australia's national curriculum and Finnish Education, Cultural assets within Australian faith-based schooling, a number of articles on academic achievement and pedagogical practice within faith-based schooling,Schools as cultural hubs; specialized scientific practices in schools and conceptual change and development in teacher education. His book chapters include transitioning from curriculum to pedagogy: moving from student to teacher in science education, and Literacy within the social sciences and humanities.Paul Current research project have been in critical thinking within the IB:TOK; and transmission of learning from methods to professional experience using mobile technology.
