Patricia Siplon is currently a professor of political science at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont where she teaches courses in American national politics, global health and qualitative research methods. In addition, Patricia is part of a multi-year project with colleague Professor Jerry Swope documenting water scarcity and its connections to HIV/AIDS in rural Tanzania.
Patricia has authored, co-authored or co-edited three books on domestic and international HIV/AIDS policy. In 2005 she was a Fulbright Africa Regional Research Fellow in Tanzania, and was named the 2003 Carnegie Foundation Professor of the Year for the state of Vermont.
