Nathan Eng is a third-year PhD research student at the University of Cambridge Engineering Design Centre (EDC). He completed his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering and Master’s of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada under the supervision of Prof. Filippo Salustri. His current area of research is the management of knowledge and information in long-lived engineering systems. The particular area of focus is the trade-off between narrative and diagrammatic forms of documentation with respect to improving the flow of ideas and the transfer of understanding.
