Nasimah Hussin, B.A (Malaya)M.C.L.(IIUM) and Ph.D (Edinburgh) is an Associate Professor in Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia. The area of her research interest are: Women and Child law, Islamic law, Criminal law, victimology and Human rights. She has published several articles, some of them being: The Discretionary Power of the Judge in the Determination of Ta‘zir Punishment;Abortion and causing miscarriage: Islamic Medical Perspective; Offences relating to Decency; Juvenile Delinquency in Malaysia: Prospect for Reforms; Mediation in Criminal matters. She is currently writing a book on Modern Approaches to Islamic Criminal Law.
