Najmeh Mirzaie born in 1983 received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Industrial Design program in Iran. During her studies, she became particularly interested in how the situation of neglected environments and people’s lives have been affected by inappropriate designs. She inspired to concentrate her projects in limited access areas for these groups such as her master thesis that was about developing the services of physically disabled people charity centers in regard of their users’ perspectives and direct participations. She published the results of her studies in different national and international conferences and journal such as “Social design approach in developing countries’ design” (the journal of Iran University of Science and Technology in fall 2009) and “Studying user requirements methods for satisfying services needs of physically disables at charity centers” (IASDR-Seoul,2009). Moreover, she engaged in different communities and exhibitions like Iranian Industrial Design community (Nov.2006-present) and has lots of practical experience as a designer and researcher in different companies. Currently, Najmeh is a MA student in Design for Sustainability program at Savannah College of Art and Design and she has specialized her studies in system thinking, experience design and, sustainable behavior change.
