Megumi Okugiri is a professor at Tokyo Healthcare University who teaches academic English and medical English to graduate and undergraduate students. She received her MA in English from the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a second MA and PhD in Language and Information Sciences at the University of Tokyo. Her recent interests include the acquisition of various English constructions by Japanese learners and language transfer from the discoursal point of view.
