I teach three different courses in my department ("Survey of World Religions", "Islam and the Gospel", "Doctrine and Covenants"). My research interests include interfaith dialogue (LDS-Catholic and LDS-Muslim in particular), the intersection between psychology and religion with a special focus on the nature and function of spirituality, the definition of religion, LDS theology and Mormon Studies, and the dynamics of faith crises. I have a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, an M.Phil from Cambridge University in Psychology and Religion, a Ph.D from Durham University (UK) in The Study of Religion and a Postdoc from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Interreligious dialogue (focusing on Christianity and Islam). I have also taught Philosophy courses at Utah Valley University, and have published in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies and other LDS-focused journals.
