I am currently doing PhD research at Digital Ecosystems and Business Intelligence Institute (DEBII) evaluating "the relationship between sexuality and mental health". I have worked as a midwife in both hospital and my own midwifery office for seven years. In addition, I has been teaching as a clinical instructor in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.
In addition to my work experiences, I have done several research studies on women’s health and the majority of the have been published in medical journals. Below is the list of some of them:
a. A comparison of sexual outcomes in primiparous women experiencing vaginal and caesarean births.
b. Randomised double-blind trial of the effect of vitamin C on dyspareunia and vaginal discharge in women receiving doxycycline and triple sulfa for chlamydial cervicitis.
c. The effect of education and awareness on the quality of life in postmenopausal women.
d. Effect of St John's Wort on severity, frequency and duration of hot flashes in premenopausal, perimenopausal and postmenopausal women: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
e. Effect of acupressure at the Sanyinjiao point on primary dysmenorrhea: A randomized controlled trial.
f. Beyond the “safe sex” propaganda.
g. A comparison between the efficacy of dydrogesterone and calcium plus vitamin D in improving women’s general health.
My research interests include: Midwifery, Maternal-child Health, Reproductive Health, Mental Health, and Sexology.
