  Dr Maria Savvaidou - Kambouropoulou obtained a first degree in The Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, Italy in 1971 and a PhD on “Education through Art and Creative Thinking” in 1986 from the Athens University, Philosophy department. Her research interests include “The Development of creative thinking through Art Education”, The Evaluation of experimental projects “Education and Culture” and projects relating to “Cultural Heritage combined with New Technology for production of a new cultural identity.” Since 1986 she has been lecturing Art Education in the Aegean University.
