Mrs Maria Kordaki holds a bachelor in Mathematics, a MSc in Education and a PhD in Educational Technology. She is an advisor of high-school mathematics’ teachers and adjunct professor on Educational Technology and Didactics of Informatics at the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras, Greece. Her research interests include didactics of mathematics and computer science with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), teacher training, design, implementation and evaluation of paper and pencil, computer-based and e-learning environments, using modern theories of learning. She is the co-author of more than 120 publications in scientific books, international journals as well as in international and national conferences. She has designed and tested in the field, using real students with positive results, a number of open, constructivist, computer environments for the learning of concepts referred to Mathematics and Computer Science by primary and secondary level education students. She was also scientific coordinator in national projects including: a) the design of educational software for the learning of mathematical concepts by primary level education pupils and b) the design of learning activities using ICT for the learning of mathematical concepts by secondary and primary level of education pupils.
