My primary field of interest are the Environmental Humanities, with a focus on transnational politics, cultural identity and sustainability. My background combines formal education in the natural sciences and the humanities. Initially trained in biology, I later worked in the environmental field, for the private sector in Argentina. Being a member of an interdisciplinary team allowed me to trace the evolution of environmental actions in Latin America over time. My doctoral work focused on ecocritical approaches for the study of literature and other artistic forms in continental Latin America. My current research interests continues to be sustainability education and international education, as well as the struggles of sustaining cultural identity in Rapa Nui within the context of a changing environment and their endangered language.
