  Madeleine Schechter is Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of the Arts, Tel Aviv University. Her fields of research include aesthetics, semiotics, feminism and cultural studies. She has published articles on the aesthetics of liminality, semiotics, modernism, poetics, and mentalities.
