Dr. Cobb-McClain, is Director of the Life Choice Program at the Neighborhood Service Organization in Detroit, Michigan. She has thirty years experience in the delivery of empowerment based services to families and children that have been diagnosed with developmental, intellectual, and emotional disabilities. For the past sixteen years she has held faculty positions at Grace College and Davenport University. Her publications include several training manuals for foster care and adoptive families as well as manuals for disaster relief preparation, and has developed a guide to promote collaboration between agencies and faith-based organizations. She holds a baccalaureate degree in Psychology from Michigan State University, a Master's degree in Human Relations from Merrill Palmer College, a Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Michigan, and is a licensed social worker.
