Leslie Batten holds a BS in Biology and a certificate in Wetland Science and Management. She was the Green Cities Director at the Cascade Land Conservancy where she led and organized community urban forestry restoration programs before returning to the UW to receive her MLA. She is currently the Lab Manager at the Green Futures Lab, the Landscape Architecture department’s green infrastructure center. Leslie is finishing her professional thesis work in waterfront stormwater design and hopes to share her completed work with coastal cities that catalyzes greater investment in these critical habitat and public areas.
