...MoreDr. Beagrie’s professional career has been predominantly in academic nursing education, having developed and delivered B.Sc.N. education in four Ontario universities. She has expertise in curriculum development and academic administration through the initiation of a variety of curricular models. Her clinical and research interests are in women’s health with specific focus on quality of life for women with endometriosis. She joined York University in 2004 as the Director of the School of Nursing, and now holds the position of Associate Dean for Professioanl & Global Program for the Faculty of Health. Since joining York University, she has been involved in many programmatic innovations and curriculum renewal and evaluation. The Faculty has over 9000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs in nursing, kinesiology, psychology and health management. The Faculty's visionis "Keeping more poeple, healthier longer" accomplished by promting community engagement in the development of interprofessional health promotion and wellness programs Dr. Beagrie has been involved in nursing associations at the provincial and national levels, including Board member, Nursing Research for RNAO and is Past President of the Canadian Association of Nursing Research and committees with CNA and the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing
