...MoreI am a multidisciplinary artist and cultural worker who is interested in the ways artistic practice, race, class, and culture collide. I am a bridge builder that creates opportunities for exploration using the tools of creativity as my guide. My practice always involves a range of people who engage with the world through a mix of theory and action because their curiosity compels them to know how others read the world and how their reading(s) influence everything. I thrive in environments where different visions and views converge. I witness the vibrancy of intellectual and creative life through seamless movement among multiple communities. I believe in challenging the complacency in our worldview so that we can move forward as human beings. My work crosses genres and breaks boundaries. I plan and present arts programs with organizations and incubators; I research and study trends in arts administration and community cultural development; I serve on boards and panels and counsel artists and organizations in their practices; I tie it all together through my compulsion to write.
