Laura McGuire was until recently a research assistant in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Manchester and a member of the Sustainable Consumption Institute at the same university. Her main research focus involves using eye tracking to investigate the impact of implicit processes on consumer behaviour relevant to climate change and sustainability. She is interested in exploring how to measure (and then change) consumers' implicit attitudes towards products with different levels of carbon footprint. Laura has co-authored a number of articles in this area in the academic journals Semiotica and The International Journal of Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability
