...MoreIn my dissertation I am analyzing the concepts diversity, intersectionality and recognition which became leading values in the fields of education and social work in recent years. This work encompasses theoretical work and empirical research. I am interested in analyzing, inhowfar these concepts constitute effective practices against racism. The question arose in my professional work as a counselor in a state-subsidized team supporting teachers, politicians and citizens in establishing networks for democratization.
Prior to this I have conducted several researches on this topic in districts of Berlin and the neighbouring state Brandenburg. I hold a Master's Degree in Psychology from Freie Universität, Berlin. In 1990/91 I spent one year as an exchange student at Brisbane Girls' Grammar School (BGGS).
