Karen Robinson is a director, dramaturg, and Associate Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University (Georgia) where she serves as a resident stage director and coordinator of the department's general education course: Arts in Society: Theatre and Performance. She has worked as director, dramaturg, and/or stage manager for educational and professional theatres in New York City, North Carolina, California and Atlanta, Georgia. Her directing and dramaturgical credits include new script development as well as contemporary and period classics. An Associate Artist with Georgia Shakespeare in Atlanta, Karen has directed thirteen productions for the company. Karen holds an MFA in Directing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and BA's in Theatre and English Literature from the University of Colorado. She is a member of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, Southeastern Theatre Conference, and Actors' Equity Association.
