Dr Julia Jones is an arts writer, curator and educator. She recently curated the Australian Ceramic Stories exhibition (April-May 2008, Western Plains Cultural Centre, NSW) which drew upon her research expertise in both visual and literary culture. Jones’ areas of writing specialisation include ceramics, interdisciplinarity and ecological culture. Her research on urban literary and visual ecocriticism has explored intersections between national and transnational contexts: particularly between Britain, America and Australia. In 2007 Jones received a Ceramics Art and Perception award for critical writing. Her writing has been widely published in journals including Australian Art Review, Imprint, Ceramics Art and Perception, Ceramics Technical and The Journal of Australian Ceramics.
