He comes from a background as an Internal Audit Practitioner and has spent a considerable period in the private and university sector prior to embarking in an academic career. His research interests are in the area of governance and internal auditing. Joe has presented research papers in numerous international and national accounting conferences on topics of internal audit and governance. He has published articles in quality journals such as Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Critical Perspectives of Accounting and Managerial Auditing Journal.
