...MoreJoanne Haeffele PhD, FNP-BC is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and an Assistant Professor of Nursing. She received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Barat College/University of Health Sciences, the Chicago Medical School, a master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a PhD in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Utah. Dr. Haeffele has had many years of teaching experience in the Nurse Practitioner, Teaching Learning, as well as MS to DNP and BSN to DNP programs of study. Her teaching experience includes, Health Assessment, Diagnostic Reasoning, Acute and Chronic Disorders, Clinical Internships, Capstone, and Teaching and Learning for Advanced Practice. In addition, Dr. Haeffele has created an Unusual Diagnosis class (Zebra’s). Annually, she co-leads the Nursing Section of a national conference on Drug and Alcohol Dependencies. Dr. Haeffele has many years of clinical practice as a primary care provider in a family practice. Her PhD research explored the cognitive factors of weight loss maintenance.
