Professor Jen Webb is Professor of Creative Practice at the University of Canberra. She publishes widely as a poet, fiction writer and scholar. Her most recent book is Understanding Representation (2009 Sage), her co-authored book on the work of Michel Foucault (Foucault: a critical introduction, Allen & Unwin, 2012). Currently she is writing a co-authored book on embodiment and a textbook on research for creative writing. Co-editor of the Sage series, Understanding Contemporary Culture, she is also co-editor of the journal Axon: Creative Explorations. She is particularly interested in representations of critical global events and the use of research through creative practice to generate new knowledge.
