Jennifer Ross is a PhD candidate in the American Studies Program at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She earned dual degrees in Honors English and History at the University of Michigan. Jennifer studies social theory and narrative techniques of political critique in contemporary literatures of disaster, including the fiction of post-9/11, post- Hurricane Katrina, and deindustrialized Detroit. Her work focuses on the intersections of biopolitics, capitalism, and citizenship.
