Jean S Fleming ONZM CRSNZ is Professor Emerita of Science Communication at the University of Otago. She has 35 years of research experience as a biochemist, cell biologist and reproductive biologist and taught Anatomy and Physiology at all tertiary levels from 1994-2012. Jean taught the Popularizing Science stream of the Masters of Science Communication, at the Centre for Science Communication from 2008-2013. She is interested in worldwide best practice in and evaluation of science communication, as well as personal and institutional responses to climate change and community resilience.
