Now a visiting scholar at the Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Marshall is developing a modelling tool for refining a species realizable niche and exploring the impact of climate change on the floristic diversity of the coterminous USA. This paper was the last core chapter of the author's PhD thesis.
