Ila N. Sheren teaches art history at Washington University in St. Louis, specializing in Contemporary Art. She is the author of the forthcoming book Portable Borders: Performance Art and Politics on the U.S. Frontera since 1984 (University of Texas Press, 2015). Her current research focuses on environmental activism and anti-neoliberal discourse in Internet and digital art, particularly in the works of Maya Lin and The Yes Men.
