...MoreI was born in November 1950 in Kelantan, Malaysia. I graduated with the Bachelor and Master of Islamic Studies from Faculty of Islamic Studies, National University of Malaysia in 1976 and 1980 respectively. I obtained my doctoral degree (PhD) from Institute of Islamic Studies, McGill University, Montreal in 1993. I have few articles published in Hamdard Islamicus in Pakistan and other journals in Malaysia and Indonesia. I have four books published in Malaysia, one is in English and the others are in the Malay language. The title of the book in English is Islamic Modernism in Malaya..., published by University of Malaya Press, Kuala Lumpur in 1994.
