Guillermo Paz-y-Miño-C is a biology faculty at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, USA. His research programs encompass: origin and evolution of cognitive abilities in animals, including humans; mechanisms of taxa-, clone- and kin-discrimination from unicellular to multicellular organisms; and hypothesis-testing research on the incompatibility between scientific rationalism/empiricism and the belief in supernatural causation. Dr. Paz-y-Miño-C is author of 150 publications: peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and science editorials. His book Evolution Stands Faith Up: Reflections on Evolution’s Wars and website Evolution Literacy have been particularly well received by scholars and the public. He co-directs New England Science Public and the New England Center for the Public Understanding of Science
