Greg Battye is a Professor of Media Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra, Australia. His background includes work as a professional photographer subsequent to his first degree in Psychology, and he has taught in Creative Writing and Media Studies at undergraduate level while supervising graduate students in photography, scriptwriting, classics and video. He has published both photographs and photographic writing, and several of his photographs are held by the National Gallery of Australia. He is the author of the forthcoming 'Photography, Narrative, Time: imaging our forensic imagination' (Intellect Books, 2014).
