  François-Joseph is a trained evolutionary biologist from the Université de Montréal and a PhD candidate in arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal. As a scientist, he has published over 80 papers ranging from phylogenomics to population genetics and conservation biology. As a bioartist, he is transposing the stochastic processes of molecular evolution to the field of choreography. For his most recent project, he used DNA as a substrate for dance composition. Less
