Since beginning his career as a mathematics teacher, Ernie O’Neil has balanced professional experiences between service in academia stateside and long-term international development tours in Bolivia, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Jamaica and Yemen; short-term assignments include Guatemala and Liberia. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer, Ford Foundation Intern, and Professor in the University of Texas System, serving as a Dean at Pan American University. Ernie holds a B.S. (St. Bonaventure University), M.S. (SUNY/Albany), and Ph.D. (University of Pittsburgh). He served two years as Editor of the Learning Newsletter and is currently on the International Advisory Board, International Conference on Learning.
