She has taught courses in media ethics, environmental and international communications, journalism, scriptwriting, theory and research methods. Her research on international and environmental issues in communications has appeared in academic journals including Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Media, Culture and Society, the International Journal of Communication, the International Journal of Environmental Studies, Journal of Film and Video, Communications and the Law and Mass Comm Review. She is the author of several book chapters and is the recipient of a 2006 Fulbright Award. Her research has taken her to South Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
