Desiree Delane received a Master of Science degree in Nutrition Research from Bastyr University in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She previously served as an intern with the Nutritional Research Foundation (2015) and the USDA's Western Human Nutrition Research Center (2016), assisting with data organization, statistical analyses, and report writing, and created an original model for analyzing and classifying eating pattern variability for her thesis project. Her primary research interests include chrononutrition, nutrigenomics, and optimizing health for individuals on plant-based diets. She currently works as an independent contractor in nutrition research, writing, and data analysis, producing content for professional, academic, and consumer audiences.
