Prof. Daniel Barredo (Spain, 1981), BA(Hons), MSc (Communication), PhD is currently the Director of the Master in Journalism of the Universidad de las Américas (Ecuador). He is a PhD in Journalism from the University of Málaga (Spain), with a doctoral thesis which was the first scientific work that examined the communication of the Spanish Crown. He is the author of "The Royal Taboo. The image of a Monarchy in crisis" (Berenice, Spain, 2013), a monograph which is considered as an "important work in its field", according to the prologue of Dr. John Balmer, Director of the Marketing Research Group of the Brunel University (London, UK). Dr. Barredo has lectured at the Universities Paul Valéry or Paris IV Sorbonne (France), Università La Sapienza (Rome, Italy), De Montfort University (Leicester, UK), La Sabana (Bogotá, Colombia), and the University of Navarre, King Juan Carlos, Sevilla, Tenerife and Alicante (Spain). He has authored more than twenty scientific papers, six monographs and four books of artistic creation, some of them awarded with national or international prizes.
