I am the academic staff of the University of Salford since 1992 following over 20 years experience in building contracting and estate management.I gained MSc in Construction Management and Economics and qualified as a Chartered Builder (CIOB) since 1976 and as Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS) in 1985. Currently Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of the School of the Built Environment and teach Strategic facilities management, Corporate social responsibility, Building retrofitting. My area of research are Facilities Management, Public sector estate management, Project management. I have co-authored Book on Facilities Management : towards best practice, 2nd Edition, Blackwell Science, Oxford, UK Barrett, P. and Baldry, D. (2003). A Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Member of Chartered Institute of Building, Fellow of Higher Education Academy, I have attended several International Conferences and authored Publications in International Journals.
