Clare qualified as a nurse in the early 1980's and has held a variety of nursing and management posts in the National Health Service in the UK. In 2003 Clare moved into education and worked for the National Health Service University developing & delivering the First Contact Care programme. Clare has been working in the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing at Sheffield Hallam University since 2005 as a Senior Lecturer, and is currently one of the Faculty Leads for the Public Health Hub at SHU (see http://research.shu.ac.uk/publichealthhub for further details). Her remit covers the development and deliverer of a range of post-graduate education programs for advanced practice, but she is primarily involved in a wide range of consultancy projects both in the UK and European Union
