Christopher Myers is an Associate Professor of Philosophy & Religion for American Public University. He received his Ph.D in Religious Studies from the University of Iowa in 2009. His dissertation was on philosophical hermeneutics and the philosophers Hans Georg Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur. In 1991 he received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary where he studied philosophical theology with Diogenes Allen. He is also an ordained minister with the United Methodist Church and served three local churches and performed campus ministry for about nine years before beginning his PhD program. He was an entomologist in the United States Air Force and is the lead faculty for the course Environmental Ethics at APUS.
