  Born in 1980 in Portugal. Graduation in Fine Arts - Painting in Oporto and Master in Artistic Education at the Lisbon University, is now a doctoral researcher from FCT at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the Lisbon University and a Visiting scholar at the Wisconsin-Madison University.The field of study is the History of Education, however the interests are also the Visual Culture and Cultural Studies fields. The main objective of the work is to problematize the ways we represent and think about ourselves as free and autonomous subjects. In this analysis we look from the educational landscape since the beginnings of the 19th century, but we consider a wide range of social practices related to that. Less
