The author finished her degree in Art History (2010) and a master degree in Social Developments in Artistic Culture (2011) in the University of Malaga. Furthermore, she studied other master degree in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture (2012) in the Complutense University of Madrid and Reina Sofia Museum. Currently, she is doing her doctoral thesis in the Spanish Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas) thanks to a doctoral fellowship (FPU) given by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. Her doctoral thesis is focused on Spanish female artists exiled in Latin America after 1939. In that way, her main lines of research are about gender studies within Spanish art, in which she went in depth during her research stay in the University of Exeter supervised by Dr. Nuria Capdevila-Argüelles, exiled female artists and contemporary art and feminism. At present she is preparing her research stays in El Colegio de México (August-November 2015) and in the Third of February National University of Buenos Aires (April-May 2016).
